We are pleased about your visit to our websites and your interest in our offers. The protection of your personal data is an important concern for us. In this privacy notice, we explain how we collect your personal data, what we do with it, for what purposes and on what legal bases this takes place, and what rights and claims are associated with this for you. Our data protection information for the use of our websites and the privacy policy of Mercedes-Benz AG do not apply to your activities on the websites of social networks or other providers that you can access via the links on our websites. 2. Collection and processing of your personal data

a. When you visit our websites, we store certain information about the browser and operating system you are using, the date and time of the visit, the access status (e.g., whether you were able to access a web page or received an error message), the use of website features, any search terms you may have entered, the frequency with which you visit individual web pages, the name of retrieved files, the amount of data transferred, the web page from which you reached our websites, and the web page that you visit from our websites, whether by clicking on links on our websites or by entering a domain directly into the input field of the same tab (or window) of your browser in which you opened our websites. In addition, for security reasons—in particular to prevent and detect attacks on our websites or attempts at fraud—we store your IP address and the name of your internet service provider for a period of seven days.

b. We only store other personal data if you provide this data to us, e.g., as part of a registration, a contact form, a survey, a sweepstakes, or for the performance of a contract, and even in these cases only to the extent permitted on the basis of consent granted by you or in accordance with applicable legal provisions (you can find more information on this below in the section „Legal bases of processing“).

c. You are neither legally nor contractually obliged to provide your personal data. However, it is possible that certain functions of our websites depend on the provision of personal data. If you do not provide personal data in these cases, this may result in functions not being available or only being available to a limited extent.

3. Purposes of use

We use the personal data collected during your visit to our websites to operate them as conveniently as possible for you and to protect our IT systems against attacks and other unlawful acts.

b. 4. Transfer of personal data to third parties; Social plug-ins

Our websites may also contain offers from third parties. If you click on such an offer, we will transmit data to the respective provider to the extent necessary (e.g., the information that you found this offer on our websites and, if applicable, further information that you have already provided for this purpose on our websites).

b. If we use so-called „social plug-ins“ of social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ on our websites, we integrate them as follows:

When you visit our websites, the social plug-ins are deactivated, meaning no data is transmitted to the operators of these networks. If you wish to use one of the networks, click on the respective social plug-in to establish a direct connection with the server of that network.

If you have a user account with the network and are logged into it at the moment the social plug-in is activated, the network can assign your visit to our web pages to your user account. If you want to avoid this, please log out of the network before activating the social plug-in. A social network cannot assign your visits to other Mercedes-Benz web pages until you have also activated a social plug-in located there. When you activate a social plug-in, the network transfers the content thereby made available directly to your browser, which integrates it into our web pages. In this situation, data transmissions that are initiated and controlled by the respective social network may also take place. For your connection to a social network, the data transmissions taking place between the network and your system, and your interactions on this platform, exclusively the data protection provisions of the respective network apply.

The social plug-in remains active until you deactivate it or delete your cookies.

5. Evaluation of usage data; use of analysis tools

a. We would like to tailor the content of our websites as precisely as possible to your interests and thereby improve our offerings for you. b. When using these analysis tools, data may be transferred to servers located in the USA and processed there. 6. Usage-based information (targeting and retargeting)

8. Legal bases of processing

a. Insofar as you have given us consent for the processing of your personal data, this constitutes the legal basis for the processing (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR).

b. For the processing of personal data for the purpose of initiating or fulfilling a contract with you, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR is the legal basis.

c. Insofar as the processing of your personal data is necessary for compliance with our legal obligations (e.g., for data retention), we are authorized to do so pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR.

d. Furthermore, we process personal data for the purposes of pursuing our legitimate interests as well as the legitimate interests of third parties pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The maintenance of the functionality of our IT systems, but also the marketing of our own and third-party products and services, and the legally required documentation of business contacts are such legitimate interests.

9. Deletion of your personal data

We delete your IP address and the name of your internet service provider, which we store solely for security reasons, after seven days. Otherwise, we delete your personal data as soon as the purpose for which we collected and processed the data no longer applies. Storage beyond this point only takes place if this is required in accordance with the laws, regulations, or other legal provisions of the European Union or a member state of the European Union to which we are subject.

10. Data Subject Rights

a. As a data subject whose data is being processed, you have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), data erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).

b. If you have consented to the processing of your personal data by us, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. The lawfulness of the processing of your personal data until a withdrawal remains unaffected by the withdrawal. Also unaffected is any further processing of this data based on another legal basis, for example to fulfill legal obligations (see the section „Legal bases for processing“).

c. Right to object
You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to processing of personal data concerning you which is based on point (e) of Article 6(1) GDPR (data processing in the public interest) or point (f) of Article 6(1) GDPR (data processing based on a legitimate interest balancing test). If you object, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

11. Newsletter
